Who can stay at Aishel House?
Aishel House apartments are for patients and/or their family members/caregivers. Patients must be 18 years or older, have a permanent residence outside of Harris County, and currently be receiving treatment at one of the local medical centers. Aishel House serves families from TMC. Please call Aishel House at 713-522-2004 if you are receiving treatment at another medical facility.

How can I stay at Aishel House?

Is Aishel House a Smoke-free environment?
Yes! Smoking is not allowed in the Aishel House building or campus, and violation of the smoking rules will result in immediate termination of stay at Aishel House.

What about pets?
Pets cannot stay at Aishel House.

Is there an elevator?
Yes, and it runs in Shabbos mode, too!

Can I bring my own food to Aishel House?
Absolutely! All apartments have a kitchen with a microwave, range, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer. There are some basic kitchen and cooking utensils in the apartment.
For kosher and food safety reasons, no personal food may be brought in the common areas of the building.

Are the apartment kitchens kosher?
The default status of the apartment kitchens are not kosher.
If you will be staying for an extended period of time and will want to cook kosher in your kitchen, let us know when the reservation is made, and we will be happy to ‘Kasher’ it for you.

How many people can stay with me?
Each apartment has two full size beds, and one full size sofabed.
The apartments can comfortably accomodate 3-4 adults. More than that would be stretching it.

Can I park my car at Aishel House?
Every apartment is allowed one car in the Aishel House parking lot. Be sure to leave your vehicle information with the front desk so that it isn’t inadvertently towed.

Are children allowed at Aishel House?
Absolutely! We love the smiles and joy that children bring along with them. All children must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone at all times while on the Aishel House campus.

Do I need to bring my own linens and towels?
Aishel House provides linens and towels for each apartment, along with a minimum of once weekly housekeeping and linen and towel service.
If you have a comfy quilt at home, or that special pillow you just can’t sleep without, you are more than welcome to bring it along.

What about internet?
Internet is available at no charge.
